Designed by Jeff Levine, Village Green JNL is a display sans font family. This typeface has two styles and was published by Jeff Levine Fonts.

Village Green JNL is based upon a font called “Giraffe Extended” from the 1892 edition of the MacKellar, Smiths & Jordan type specimen book, and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Its Art Nouveau styling can also fit well with 1960s counter-culture revival projects.

According to Wikipedia “A village green is a common open area within a village or other settlement. Historically, a village green was common grassland with a pond for watering cattle and other stock, often at the edge of a rural settlement, used for gathering cattle to bring them later on to a common land for grazing. Later, planned greens were built into the centres of villages.”

[lycfd] Download Starboard fonts from Hanoded

Designed by David Kerkhoff, Starboard is a brush display and grunge font family. This typeface has two styles and was published by Hanoded . Starboard The term starboard derives from the Old English steorbord, meaning the side on which the ship is steered. Before the steering wheel, boats were steered by an oar at the stern of the ship. Since most sailors were right handed, this is where you would find your steering oar! Starboard is a rough, handmade, brushy kinda font. It was, of course, made with my favourite cheap brush and Chinese ink - resulting in a slightly eroded looking font. Starboard comes with all the trimmings, including double letter ligatures for the lower case. Starboard Download Now View Gallery
